At Ergochair, we’re proud to support The Furniture Makers’ Company Young Professional Industry Experience (YPIE) programme.
This initiative gives early-career professionals a genuine, 360-degree view of the furnishing industry.
YPIE brings together a small cohort of rising talent for an intensive tour across the sector, helping them understand the full supply chain, from raw materials and components to manufacturing, compliance, sustainability, marketing, and after-sales service.
It’s practical, fast-paced learning, built around real businesses and real conversations.
When we hosted the group at Ergochair, we focused on what we know makes a difference: hands-on insight and honest access. The visit included a walkthrough of our facilities, introductions to the teams behind our chairs, and a masterclass session exploring a key area of how we operate, with plenty of time for questions and discussion.
For us, supporting YPIE is about our belief that the future of British furniture making depends on skilled people, strong networks, and shared standards.
Programmes like YPIE help talented professionals see the bigger picture, build confidence, and connect the dots between craft, comfort, sustainability and commercial reality.
Our customers rely on Ergochair being here to support them for the long haul – and that means nurturing tomorrow’s innovators and inventors today.
