Ergochair is the market leader in ergonomic seating for people with postural problems.

We are a UK company with manufacturing facilities based outside of Bristol.

We were founded in 2002 to produce custom seating for people with special postural needs. Since then we’ve helped over 100,000 people to sit comfortably, improving the quality of life for people with conditions ranging from a generic “bad back” to severe musculoskeletal disorders.

We put that experience into everything we do.

While the seating industry has become ever more commoditized, we remain steadfastly focused on the individual.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I have both a massage system and heat pad system on a chair?

Yes, it is possible to have both systems fitted but please be mindful that 2 mains sockets will be required.

How many air cells can I have in the back rest?

This will depend on the size of the back rest.

Can I have heat pads in both the seat and back rest?

Yes, the heat pad system consists of 3 pads and these can be split between both the seat and back if required.

Can a head/neck support be retrospectively fitted?

Yes, the majority of our chairs are manufactured with the internal components for a head/neck support.

Do the chairs come with fire retardant foam as standard?

CMHR foam is standard in our chairs. It’s the fabric that needs to meet the different standard for domestic use.

Can my chair be delivered fully assembled?

Yes, please refer to our current retail price list for the cost of this service.

My back rest will not stay at the height I need it to.

To reset the ratchet take the back rest in both hands, whilst stood behind the chair, raise the back rest to the very top and then take it to the very bottom and then slowly raise the backrest on the ratchet to the desired height. If this does not work, please report to the dealer/reseller that the chair was purchased through.
