We’re incredibly proud to announce that Ergochair has been awarded a King’s Award for Enterprise in the category of Innovation — one of only 185 organisations across the UK to receive this prestigious honour in 2026.
Founded in Bristol in 2002, we’ve spent over two decades designing and manufacturing ergonomic seating that genuinely improves the lives of the people who use it. What began with chairs for individuals with complex clinical needs has grown into a mission to bring clinical-grade adaptability and personalisation into everyday workplaces because most people still work in chairs that simply don’t support them properly.
This award recognises our commitment to continuous improvement, user-focused design and proudly UK-based manufacturing with products used by organisations across the country and exported globally.
“Receiving this prestigious award is a huge milestone for Ergochair. We’re filled with pride that our incredible team have been recognised in such a way. Ergochair and our products exist to give people happier and more fulfilled lives — enabling them to work at their best in whatever they do. We will continue to drive innovation in truly UK-based manufacturing and export across the globe.” Ben Caton, Managing Director, Ergochair
The King’s Awards for Enterprise — now in their 60th year — are the UK’s most prestigious business accolades. Previously known as The Queen’s Awards, they were renamed in 2023 in honour of His Majesty The King’s commitment to celebrating exceptional British businesses. As recipients, we are proud to carry the King’s Awards Emblem for the next five years.
Our belief remains simple: it’s time ergonomics got personal. This recognition only strengthens our resolve to keep pushing what’s possible in workplace seating.
